Oil Producing Community, Odidi Resolves Leadership Crisis, Inaugurates New Leadership in Delta

Elders in Oil-rich Odidi Federated Community (OML 42) in Warri South-West LGA, have inaugurated new executives to be led by Prince Preye Okrikpa Who will pilot affairs of the community, effective immediately.
This took place yesterday in Odidi, a host community to major oil-producing multinational oil companies including the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) Neconde and others.
The outgoing chairman, High Chief Johnny Arigbogha handed over the Community leadership to Okrikpa after several legal battles, petitions, and factions that made-up the leadership crisis that once bedeviled the community.
Preye Okrikpa and his executives were sworn-in and charged by Arigbogha to perform better and attract development to the area.
The new Exco constitutes Chief John Lokiri as vice-chairman Clement Numah as secretary and Michael K. as PRO alongside 20-man executive members.
The newly inaugurated Chairman, in his acceptance speech, promised to work with his team to fix problems in the community and attract sustainable peace and development in the area.
Prince Preye Said, "We will continue to do more, make sure that we bring Government to our doorstep and foster rapid development of the area. We were having an internal dispute as a family, but by the grace of God we have settled, We are in one accord now, unitedly, we will work with the federal and state government to ensure the development of the area".
The outgoing Chairman, Arigbogha Said; "We went to the court, but I looked at the matter and withdrew the case, today we are one, with my advice, I hope that they will work well and bring development to the community".
Arigbogha also charged the new executives to cooperate within themselves and ensure the running of an open government, he also called on his supporters to work freely with the newly constituted leadership.
