Africa For Peace Sports Festival: Oyoka FC Shines as Biggest Winner on Opening Day in Delta

The second edition of the Africa For Peace Sports Festival kicked off on Friday, November 15, 2025, in Delta State with high-octane football action, as Oyoka FC stole the spotlight with a commanding 12–2 win over DSC Allstars, emerging the biggest winners of the festival’s opening day.
The festival opened in a colourful and lively atmosphere as the National Coordinator of Africa for Peace and Chief Host, Comrade Mulade, took the ceremonial kickoff, officially launching the long-anticipated sporting event. Spectators from across Delta State turned out in numbers, enjoying free access to the fully equipped football arena and other sports facilities.
The day’s action began with Lord Mark FC falling narrowly to Sokoh Estate FC, setting the stage for a series of intense and dramatic encounters. One of the standout fixtures was the thrilling eight-goal contest between Ozigizaga FC and Mighty 5 FC, which ended in a gripping 4–4 draw, hinting at the goal-laden excitement that would define the opening round.
Fans were treated to another unforgettable moment when Fulani FC produced a remarkable comeback, overturning a three-goal deficit to defeat Sky Bulls FC 6–5, in what many described as the most dramatic match of the day.

With nine matches producing a flurry of goals and memorable performances, the opening day delivered excitement, intensity, and early signs of fierce competition. Oyoka FC’s emphatic victory places them as clear early contenders in the tournament.
The Africa For Peace Sports Festival continues on Saturday, November 22, at the Africa For Peace Games Village, with matches set to resume at 3:00 pm.
