Tears in Gbaramatu: Blessing Gbenekama Laid To Rest in Delta 

Remains of the wife of High Chief Godspower Gbenekama (JP), Late  Blessing Oghale has been laid to rest at Azama Community in Warri South-West local government area of Delta State amidst tears and eulogies.

Mrs. Blessing Gbenekama passed on to glory on Friday, June 7, 2024  
at the age of 40, she was survived by her husband, 3 Children, and a host of other relatives.

Personalities at the funeral include, Chief Kestin Pondi, MD Tantita,  Chief Ekomieyefa, alias KFT, Chief Sheriff Mulade, Coordinator CEPEJ, Dr Alfred Mulade, Registrar NMU, Chief Moses Bebenimibo, Chief George Timiyan, Chief Simon Bebenimibo and others across Delta State attended the funeral services of the late wife of Chief God'spower Gbenekama in solidarity.

 Her life was short but impactful, selfless, and passionate about service to humanity. According to the goodwill message, "She was a shining light and beacon of hope among women while alive".

The corpse which left the Warri morgue at about 8:30 am arrived at the community at about 11 am to lying in state. The Iying in the state was immediately followed by a sermon, reading of her biography, and thereafter was interment and entertainment of guests.

The funeral services were officiated by a priest from the Anglican Church from Warri, Rev. Canon Zion Ukeje, (Supervisor) with a sermon titled: "Where Do We Go From Here". He backed his sermon with Ecclesiastics 3 vs 1-3 and other scriptures, which said there is time for everything under the sun. 

In the sermon, the officiating pastor dwells seriously on repentance. He emphasized that life without Christ is empty. He went further to say life is about choice but the power of death and judgment belong to the ultimate God. He admonished dignitaries at the funeral to live an acceptable life for the Lord.
