4 Years in Mind: Family Honour Late Samson Youkore Mamamu at 4th Remembrance Ceremony

In a heartfelt tribute to a beloved Father, family members, community representatives have commemorated the fourth anniversary of the transition of their father, late Evang. Chief (Dr.) Samson Youkore Mamamu.
Pa SY Mamamu passed on to glory on September 10th, 2021.
Till his demise, Pa SY Mamamu was the founder and general overseer of God's Ministry of Healing and Deliverance, Salvation City, New Ogbe-ijoh, Warri South-West LGA.
The Remembrance ceremony which took place on Wednesday in Salvation City, New Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri South West Local Givernment Area of Delta State, featured family members and community representatives converging at the Memorial Tomb of the Ijaw icon, in a solemn atmosphere to reflect and honour his enduring legacies.
After a brief praise and worship session, Chief (Comrade) Bene Youkore Mamamu joined his brothers and sisters to lay wreaths at their father's grave.
In an emotion-laden tone, he stated that his "father's legacy will continue to strengthen the family".
Also, Pastor Edwin Boyi, the coordinating minister of God's Ministry of Healing and Deliverance, while delivering a powerful sermon at the event, reflected on the enduring legacy of the departed leader.
He said, "The father is no more, but the ministry he left behind is booming as his outstanding legacy."
Pastor Boyi emphasised the continued growth and impact of the church in the community.
He further said that "SY Mamamu chose to live in a place chosen by God, despite the fact that he is also from a wealthy oil producing area".
"He lived here, died here and was buried here, indeed, God is here, this is Zion", he reiterated.
One of the sons, Mamamu Shadrack urged the family members to embrace unity, love, and a deep reverence for God, encouraging them to carry forward the values instilled by their late leader and to live a life worthy of imitation.
In a heartfelt tribute, Mrs. Clara Mamamu-Ibani emphasized the importance of sustaining the legacy of her late father, SY Mamamu, by fostering a close fellowship with God.
"He was a man who spoke truth to power, unafraid to challenge the status quo and advocate for justice", she posited.
