Ward Delineation: Mamamu Reaffirms Ugbanabou Under Ogbe-Ijoh, Criticizes Alex Ebi-Feminine, Others Over Misleading Claim

By Ezekiel Kagbala
A prominent Ijaw leader from Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief (Comrade) Bené Youkore Mamamu has reafirmed his earlier position that Ugbanabou community, Warri South-West Local Government Area is under Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom.
Mamamu, in a signed statement made available to journalists on Saturday said that "only miscreants are disputing historical and documented evidence".
His reafirmation was coming on the heels of a counter statement released in an online publication by Arerepade Daniel, who the medium described as a youth leader in the Niger Delta from Diebiri, stating that Ugbanabou is under Diebiri.
Mamamu maintained that "the claim that Ugbanabou community is under Diebiri as stated by the Chairman of Ugbanabou, Alex Ebi Feminine, Arerepade Daniel and others are not only unfounded but also represent a distortion of historical and documented evidence".
According to Mamamu, "Only miscreants are disputing what has been clearly established through history and legal documentation".
Mamamu further stated, "Rather than joining issues with irresponsible children to debate the ownership of Ugbanabou, I will prefer those claiming that Ugbanabou is under Diebiri to come up with facts and documented proof rather than childishly throwing tantrums.
"Ugbanabou is an integral part of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom's territory, a position supported by various historical records and community consensus.
"The tranquility of Diebiri is being threatened by the Chairman of Ugbanabou, Alex Ebi Feminine;
one Arerepade Daniel and other illegal claimants who are, perhaps, being sponsored by some persons who are on a mission to cause crisis.
"I am appealing to security agencies, particularly the Department of State Services (DSS), to investigate those who are attempting to incite unrest by falsely claiming authority over Ugbanabou.
"The situation at hand is complex. The Diebiri chairman has not endorsed the claims being made, which raises serious questions about the motivations behind these assertions. It is crucial to understand that incitement, especially in a community as tightly knit as Diebiri, can lead to misunderstandings, conflict, and a breakdown of trust among residents.
"The potential for violence or civil unrest is a real concern, and it is the responsibility of security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to prevent such outcomes".
