Read CAN'S Position on Delta 2023 Governorship Candidates, Gbagi honors invitation

Delta State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) from a political and moral standpoint is evaluated by speaking truth to power without fear or favor.

As part of oversights, the Delta State chapter of the body, CAN invited all Governorship candidates across political parties to attend an interactive session. The candites by their conduct rejected CAN and ignored them.However, the candites of the Social Democratic Party SDP, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi OON attended the meeting.

The tone of the letter, as contained in the subject matter shows that most candidates did not treat the invitation with any sense of importance, except Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi of the Social Democratic Party SDP who recognized his candidacy as God's own Project.

The letter which was dated 17th, October 2022 from the political strategy and mobilization committee of CAN have in its subject matter as; "Reminder on interactive Session with Governorship candidates of Political parties on 21st and 22nd, October 2022".

Deltans who are God-fearing will not take kindly, ungodly candidates who made mockery of the Christian body.

It was sad that CAN had to write a reminder letter drawing attention to an invitation that was dated 12th September 2022 which was disrespectfully ignored by so claimed Candidate.

Though some may blame it on the Campaigns which were not opened at the time of initial invitation. However, with provisions made for feedback in the letter, all ungodly candidates are inexcusable.

As the saying goes many are called but few are chosen, Delta State leadership of CAN has seen and held the interactive session with the candidate whose God's endorsement is too conspicuous to be Ignored.

CAN owe Deltans a responsibility and care of trust to act according to  God's direction by telling the churches how Only Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi honored, and respected the body of Christ.

CAN should and will continue to repudiate corrupt individuals whose  disposition could not put them on the-same page with the Body of Christ. It was left for the body to come clean and public with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi who has horned God and the body of Christ.

The body of Christ cannot afford to lower its integrity, trust, and power to pray for and endorse a Governorship candidate who upholds integrity and sense of purpose.

The former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduagan became the governor of the state after CAN endorsed him. Governor Okowa enjoyed similar prayers, endorsement and emerged as the current seating two-term governor.

For 2023, Gbagi has emerged as the chosen Candidate who honored God and the body of Christ and CAN should do the needful.
