ELOVAS anchors raising responsible leaders on parents modeling positive behavior, values

The Excellent Ladies of Valor and Steel (ELOVAS) Foundation International has anchored raising responsible leaders on parents modeling positive behavior and values.

This was the outcome of the ELOVAS Annual General Convention (AGC) 2025 held from 21st to 23rd August at Mosang Hotel, Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.

The Convention featured interactive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions, providing attendees with opportunities to engage with experts and share their experiences.

Themed 'Raising Responsible Leaders for an Improved Society: The Role of Parents and Children', the event had brought together renowned speakers and facilitators who shared insights on effective parenting, leadership development, and community engagement.

Participants reiterated the vital roles that parents play in shaping the next generation of leaders at the conference which aimed at empowering parents and children with the necessary skills and knowledge to become responsible leaders in their communities.

Also in attendance were parents and community leaders who also contributed their personal experiences in dissect the subject matter.

The Founder/pioneer President of the ELOVAS Foundational AGC 2025, 

Lady Dr. Ngozi Theresa Ekwunife (Queenlady) JP, in her welcome address emphasized "the importance of nurturing responsible leaders from a young age". 

She noted that parents play a vital role in shaping the next generation of leaders and that the conference is a platform for parents and  to learn and grow together.

In the same vein, the keynote speaker, Mrs. Anastesia Odochi Uchenna- Ozoemena, highlighted the significance of parental involvement in children's development and "the need for parents to model responsible behavior because children learn more from action than words". 

Mr. Bede Echefu, Lady Confidence Ozaveshe, Lady Dr. Lilian Unigwe and other speakers discussed topics such as Emotional intelligence,  Need for women to be financially stable to be able to support their family and Be a Good role model as well as Health talks on Menopause and Cervical Cancer, among others. 

The ELOVAS Foundation AGC 2025 concluded with a call to action, encouraging parents and children to "work together to build a better society". 

The event demonstrated the organization's commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders and promoting positive change in communities.

It also featured presentation of awards to some deserving personalities who have positively impacted the lives of women and Thanksgiving Service at the Chosen Generation Living Church Umungasi, Aba. 

In addition, the birthday of the Foundation's founder, the 22nd of August which falls within the conference period, was also celebrated while the conference climaxed with the appointment of new officials to head the affairs of the Foundation for three years.

Those appointed included Engr. Amb. Chigbo Queen Uche of Warri Chapter as the President of the Foundation, Mrs. Chinelo Nwankwo as the Vice- President 2 from Awka Chapter and Mrs. Amaka Godfrey from Egbeda Chapter as Director of Projects. 

The awardees comprised Lady Joy Okonkwo, Women Leader, Mrs Ifeoma Lucy Jetta, Mrs. Monchys Oge Bakare and Engr. Smith N. Chika
