Burutu PDP Emerges Stronger in Delta, Passes Vote of Confidence on Jackson Agbor, National Excos

The Burutu chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its commitment to the party's leadership by passing a vote of confidence on both the National Executive Committee and the local leadership, particularly the Acting Chairman of Burutu PDP, Comrade Jackson Agbor. This decision was made during a well-attended meeting held in Warri on Wednesday where members expressed their unwavering support for the party's direction and leadership.

The vote of confidence on the National Executive Committee, led by National Chairman Amb. Umar Damagum, underscores the party's solidarity at both state and national levels. Party members praised the national leadership for its strategic vision and efforts to strengthen the PDP across the country, particularly in the face of recent political challenges.

Jackson Agbor, who has been at the helm of the Burutu PDP, received accolades for his exceptional leadership during a tumultuous period. Members highlighted his ability to maintain party cohesion and morale, despite facing various obstacles, including internal dissent and external pressures. Agbor's commitment to grassroots mobilization and community engagement has been pivotal in keeping the party's spirit alive in Burutu.

In his address, Agbor expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from party members and reiterated his dedication to fostering unity and progress within the PDP. "This vote of confidence is not just a reflection of my leadership but a testament to the collective strength of our party. Together, we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the PDP remains a formidable force in Delta State and beyond," he stated.

"We are in the building process and the party is firm and will continue to grow, In Burutu LGA, the party is strong as ever and I will continue to protect the interests of all members of the party at all levels.

"Without your Wards, there is no politics, all Ward leaders should strengthen their Ward. PDP is United and solidifies, the party remains a majority in Burutu".

The meeting was attended by the South South Caretaker Committee Chairman who is now the acting chairman of the Delta State PDP, Elder Emmanuel Ogidi, represented by High Chief Godwin Agbana who noted that the PDP is not dead and it will continue its growth to more strength. A vote of confidence was also passed on Ogidi for his commitment to rebuild the party at the state level.

Also in attendance at the meeting includes, Anthony E. Mulu PDP Ward 10 leader, Hon Penakeme Emeze PDP Ward 2 leader, Eniekebi Joseph PDP Ward 5 Ojobo, Keneakemebo Abel PDP Ward 5 Ojobo, Niekebi Eniye Ward 3, Tuomo, Ebikawei Ampere Betterlife PDP Ward 6 Ndoro/Ekogbene and host of others.
