No-Peace No-Campaign: Angry Youths Protest Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja lingering Crisis, Warns Political Parties, Okowa

A Pressure Group in the Niger Delta region, Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) has called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State to permanently end the lingering communal land dispute between Ogbe-ljoh and Aladja Communities in Warri South-West and Udu LGAs of the state, warning that they would not allow any political Party to campaign for the 2023 General election in the their domain
The president of the group, Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkere who also bouble as the President General, Niger Delta Youth Council, on Friday, November 18, 2022 Led the group on a peaceful protest in Ogbe-Ijoh town, warning that; "There will be no campaign from any political party, to Ogbe-Ijoh for the 2023 general election if the state government fail to put an end to the aged long lingering communal crisis between Ogbe-ljoh and Aladja".
FocalPoint Reports gathered that; The two communities have been embroiled in a long drawn land tussle seeming as if the state government is finding it difficult to resolve. Youths have taken to the street to protest government inabilities to proofer lasting solution to the lingering dispute.
During the protest, the Former Ijaw Youth Council Chairman, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Apst. Amb. Smart Okosu, who also is the Secretary General of IGL disclosed that the crisis have claimed many lives, destroyed properties worths millions of naira and displaced many.
The group insisted that the atmosphere is not ripe for any election or any form of political campaign. They, however, protested carrying a banner with the inscriptions: "Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL), Tells Okowa and all political parties to settle Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja crisis now or else no campaign in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri South-West Headquarters.
"No permanent peace no campaign,
No lasting solution, No Campaign,
No access road, No campaign".
In a related development, other youths from Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom blamed the state government for not doing enough to ensure peace but took politics to be more important than people's lives.
