Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja Crisis: Mamamu Groups, Others Suspend Ban on Political Campaign In Delta Community

Niger Delta bases pressure group, Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) has informed leaders, political parties, Indigenes of Ogbe-Ijoh and members of the general public that; the earlier position taken by youths of Ogbe-Ijoh banning political campaigns in the Headquarters of Warri South-West LGA, Delta State has been lifted temporarily.
This was contained in a Public Announcement signed by; the National President of the group, Chief (Amb.) Mamamu Bene Youkore stating that; "The decision to suspend the ban on the campaign was Due to the swift intervention of respected leaders of the community.
"We have resolved that the ban be lifted for now as we look forward to seeing them addressing our demands within the shortest period.
"However, I am sounding it clear that the lifting of the ban is temporal for now, if leaders fail to address the demands by Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) and that of the entire youths before the local government major campaign, we Will make sure that we disrupt the process".
It was also gathered that political parties could carryout out their campaigns in Ogbe-Ijoh, following the suspension of the ban.
The group also suspend their planned contentious protest tagged "No-Peace no-Campaign" a few days after they had embarked on a peaceful Walk calling on the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to immediately settle the lingering communal dispute
The entire Ogbe-Ijoh Youths and the pressure groups further reiterated their call on the State government to ensure more commitment toward ending the conflict between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijaw permanently.
