Catholic Women Organization (CWO), Warri Diocese has commended the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State, Olorogun Kenneth Omemevwa Gbagi for spreading the good news of good governance to liberate Delta State, come 2023.
The christian women who came in numbers from Warri, Sapele, Ughelli, Kwale and Isoko on Monday 21st November, 2022 to have interactive session with the former Minister of Education and former Chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria at Fame Delta Hall, Signatious Hotel, Effurun, one of the investments of the SDP Gubernatorial Candidate, said good governance is achievable with Gbagi’s candidature.
The Catholic Women agreed with Gbagi’s position at the JRCC, Warri during the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) fund raising ceremony when the Criminologist, Cum Industrialist said that the church was responsible for the bad governance in the country.
In her address presented on behalf of the CWO at the interactive session, Dr. Mrs, Anne Oghogho Ugbeh stated that, "Your Excellency, like you pointed out during the JDPC fund raising at the JRCC Warri, that the Church is fully responsible for the bad governance we are experiencing in this country.
"Your Excellency, having gone through all that had to do with church and truth, I will not fail to commend you once again and the JDPC i.e Justice Development and Peace Commission for all that they have been doing to spread the good news of good governance.
"Good governance is achievable and somebody has to make it happen. After all Jesus Christ healed ten lepers but only one came to make a difference. Out of ten bad leaders, one can set himself to be different. You can be the one to start this good course. You can be the one selected by God to make that difference. We need good governance.
"You have started already. This interactive session will make others know that you have God and your people in mind. Let your light begin to shine. So I sing this song for you. Begin to shine like the morning star your Excellency.
Finally, I will not fail to congratulate and salute Her Excellency, Hon. Justice Sybil Gbagi JCA, a woman of substance, a woman of timber and caliber, an epitome of beauty and a very good supporter to her husband. Thank you for encouraging him to have this interactive session. You are a true woman indeed", she said.
