Delta 2023: Governorship Aspirant Steps Down, Says Gbagi is Coming to Make Delta Great
Ahead of the 2023 governorship primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, a governorship aspirant of the party, Engr. Ediri IDIMI UBIOMOR has stepped down from the race to support Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.
Ubiomor announced his decision to step down for the front line aspirant, Gbagi on Monday, in a letter addressed to his supporters.
He stated that his decision was reached after wide consultations with stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party and Leaders of Communities within Delta Stat
He further state that, "The Ubiomor Campaign Organization (UCO) wish to inform the general public, people of Delta State, and members of the PDP in particular that, Engr. Ediri R. IDIMI (UBIOMOR) has stepped down his 2023 Delta State Governorship ambition and declare support for Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi for the 2023 Delta State Gubernatorial Race".
According to him, the choice of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi is informed by the fact that among aspirants for the Delta State Governorship race, his profile stands out as someone with the right qualifications.
"Most importantly, Hon Kenneth Gbagi is an investor and industrialist with investments scattered around Delta State, Nigeria and overseas. He is someone with no criminal records"
"His contacts and networks within and outside Nigeria can be leverage on to attract investments and projects to Delta State, when he becomes Governor. Without a doubt, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has the capacity to lead the Delta State Government on Industrial Development come 2023, if elected into office"
