Delta Civil Society Forum Inaugrates Excecutives to Complement Government on Development

The Forum of all Civil society organizations in Delta State, DELCOF, on Thursday, inaugrated executives, Coordinators and members who will take the lead to support and complement Government developmental efforts across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state.
The inauguration of its maiden executives took place on the 10th, March 2022 at the State capital, Asaba with over 200 registered Organizations Coming under the body that is poised to promote a better society.
The Convener and National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Chief Comrade Sheriff Mulade commended the State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for supporting civil society growth in the state. Mulade also stated that,
It was time for the state to have a body that will support and complement government developmental activities across the local government areas.
Mulade futher appreciate the Governor for having in his cabinet, the Honourable Commissioner, Humanitarian and Community Support Services Barr. Mrs Bridget Ayanfulu who played keyrole in ensuring the growth of civil society organizations in the State.
A members of the Executive, Mrs Bridget Affiah in her speech noted that DELCOF have legal rights to Associate, she also stated that; "in the North, Southwest and East, Civil society groups are partners in Development so non state actors have come together, we looked inward and decide to build".
