Delta Council Stakeholders, Chairmen laud Tinubu, Oborevwori over exposure to international LGA Summit

A group of key local government stakeholders comprising Chairmen of LGAs, Vice Chairmen, Secretaries to Local Government Councils, Leaders of Legislative Arms, Heads of Personnel Management, Treasurers to Local Government from Warri South, Patani and Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas of Delta State has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for granting them the opportunities of exposure to international Local Government Leaders Summit.
The Council stakeholders have just concluded her week-long International Local Government Leaders Summit for key local government stakeholders held at M Hotel, Kigali in Rwanda.
Themed 'COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP AND INSTITUTIONAL SYNERGY FOR EFFECTIVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION', the Summit which was specifically designed to improve maximally, service delivery for key local government officials in Nigeria, was organized by Gere Consulting Associates Limited, a leading Nigerian training and organizational development consulting company.
The participants had departed Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos on Sunday 20th July, 2025 on board the Rwanda Airline by 2pm and arrived Kigali - Rwanda at about 8.pm same day.
Charles Obuche - Training Programme Portfolio Director, Pastor Frank Abor - GCA Director, Finance & Administration and Mrs Ophe Hope Ighomrero - GCA Pubic Relations Director were on ground Kigali, Rwanda to ensure that the promised ingredients of the Summit were delivered to the letter.
The resource persons disclosed that for ease and choice of participation of prospective participants, the Summit had been designed to hold in two Streams - the Stream 1 in Kigali, Rwanda (just concluded) and the Stream 2, scheduled to hold in Manchester - United Kingdom, from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th September, 2025.
Testifying to the high quality of the deliverables of the just concluded Kigali, Rwanda Summit, the highly elated participants could not hide their joy as they poured accolades on the facilitators.
They maintained that "the quality cannot be compared to any of such attended before now", just as they also encouraged the team of Gere Consulting not to lower standards.
The CEO of the Company, Comrade Bawo Benson Gere, represented by Pastor Frank Abor, Director of Finance and Administration, spoke of "the training outfit's major goal which is the passion for human resources development and service delivery as outcomes of effective human resources training".
He assured of continuous repositioning of the Company "to serve our clients better, so as to improve organisational service delivery in all sectors of the company's operations, particularly the Local Government system".
While expressing profound appreciation to God Almighty for His mercy and help from above which, he said, had contributed to making the programme a huge success, he specially expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and particularly, Elder Sheriff Oborovweri, the Executive Governor of Delta State, whose administration had created the enabling environment.
Meanwhile, the Summit participants and team of trainers from Gere Consulting Associates Limited, who arrived Lagos last weekend are already back to their various duty posts and were seen on Monday morning celebrating their employers for the opportunity given them to attend the Summit abroad.
Speaking with journalists, most of them described the Government of His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of Elder Sheriff Oborovweri of Delta State as "God sent".
