IYC Demands Urgent Renewal of Tantita Security Surveillance Contract, Commends Tompolo

The vice president of Ijaw Youths Council Worldwide, Comrade (Chief) Frank Akiefa has called on the Federal Government to renew the surveillance contract currently being executed by Tantita Security Limited, owned by High Chief Government Owezide Ekpemukpolo, alias Tompolo.

The new IYC Vice President made the call in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen on the 27th, of July 2023, declaring that Tantita Security operations are commendable as they have saved the country's economy.

Chief Akiefa noted that apart from protecting and saving Nigeria’s economy from the hands of saboteurs, they have protected all coastal communities from sea pirate attacks,environmental and air pollution.

He commended High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo, alias Tompolo for employing stakeholders, youths, and civil society groups for the long-term success of the contract adding that more has been achieved in terms of Encouraging and restoring the abandoned fishing profession of the Niger Delta people.

Akiefa also noted that the recent burning of an illegal bunkering vessel by the management of the Tantita Security shows that the security outfit is capable of handling bigger assignments and should be encouraged with proper funding and equipping.

According to him, "The interest to protect the country's economic welfare has pushed Tantita to a purpose-driven action against all who are involved in the business of oil theft. Niger Delta people are proud of Tantita Security for their achievement".

"Tantita has ended the business of pipeline vandalism and environmental pollution, Federal Government  should urgently renew the surveillance contract for the good work to continue".
