A Niger Delta activist, Comrade. Frank Akiefa has appealed to the people of the Nigeria Delta region to appreciate and continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving Niger Deltans the needed appointment and opportunities to contribute to the economic development of the country and the region.

The Ijaw Leader in a statement on Tuesday to mark the independent day celebration of Nigeria at 65 in Warri Delta State, noted that President Tinubu should be appreciated for the appointment of Niger Delta illustrious son from Delta State, High Chief Dennis Otuaro to manage the affairs of the presidential amnesty program, PAP.

He stated that the continuation of the surveillance contract awarded to High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo, AKA Tompolo, had contributed greatly to the socio-economic advancement of the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta at large.

Frank Akiefa, who is a traditional chief of the Ogbolubiri-Mein Kingdom, further added that;  "President Tinibu ensured that Niger Deltans, especially Ijaws, were well placed in his administration.

"Niger Deltans have reasons to appreciate and Support the federal and state government.

"At he state level, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is executing projects that are directly connected to the economic growth of Deltans. Some of these projects include bridges, roads, education, healthcare, and human capital development.

"Governor Oborevwori, at the helm of affairs in Delta State, has given thousands of youths a sense of belonging, especially with the recent appointment of youths into various positions and offices in the state.

Those factors have contributed greatly to the social and economic growth and stability of the state, the region, and Nigeria despite numerous challenges facing the country.

"Most importantly, President Bola Tinubu should be lauded for engaging Tantita security services limited, TSSL, to collaborate with other security bodies in the country to effectively police oil facilities in the Niger Delta; this well-coordinated initiative by TSSL has reduced youths' restiveness in the region.

"Niger Deltans should also appreciate President Tinubu for appointing Dr Dennis Otuaro ( PhD) as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

"These steps taken by President Tinubu will bring continuous peace in the Niger Delta region, and this will cause an increase in oil production, as there will be an increase in monthly allocation.”
