Officer Dragged like a Goat as Angry Mob Joined Tricycle Operator to Fight DESTMA Officials in Delta

There has been tension in the city of Warri, Warri South Local government Area of Delta State as Angry mob almost leanched some officers of the Delta State Traffic Management Authority (DESTMA).

The sympathetic crowd allegedly joined a fight between a tricycle operator also known as Kekenapep in the Angle park area of Warri, Delta State, dragging one of the officer like a Goat.

Trouble started on Tuesday when the tricycle operator, Mr. Ameh Ojima who was riding along Ekurode Urhobo area was intercepted by DESTMA Officials who impanded his Keke on alleged traffic offence. 

DESTMA officials had alleged that the tricycle operator committed a serious traffic offence by driving against traffic as result, his particulars were sized for him to follow them to DESTMA office.

Eye witness source disclosed that the DESTMA personnel seized the key of the Keke and refused to release it despite pleading from passers-by, a struggle between the keke ridder and the officials resulted into a fight that buildup,  more keke ridders come to the scene and joined the struggle.

It was as a tug of war as DESTAMA officials were dragging the Keke man and other Keke ridders insisted that their colligue will not go there.

Passers-by soon joined the keke ridder in Solidarity beating up one of the official.

They held one of the DESTMA Official insisting that if the siezed particulars were not released, the DESTMA officer goes no where.

A police officer from B division Warri who came to the scene resolve the dispute and the particulars were returned to the Keke ridder without payment of money.
