Ugbajo Itsekiri Invites Olu of Warri to Special Event in London

A proactive Itsekiri Charity group, based in the United Kingdom, Ugbajo Itsekiri Uk has honoured
the Olu of Warri, His Majority, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and his beautiful Olori with a special invitation to their forthcoming 10th Annual Gala and Charitable event in London.
They appealed to the highly revered Warri Monarch to boost and promote their Charity works with his royal presence, declaring that his presence will further motivate
Ugbajo Itsekiri Uk to do more charitable works for society.
This group was led by the President of Ugbajo Itsekiri UK, Mr. Mejebi Eyewuoma during a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 at the Palace in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, where they invited the monarch to the 10th Annual Gala and Charitable night event.
The Gala Night with the theme “The Role of Diaspora Community in strategic health and education development in the rural communities,” is scheduled for July 29, 2023, at Rent Civic Center, Wembley, London.
In his eloquent speech, the President of Ugbajo Itsekiri UK, Mr. Mejebi Eyewuoma thanked the Olu of Warri for granting them an audience just as he stated that the purpose of the visit is to formally invite the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and Olori Atuwatse III to Ugbajo Itsekiri UK annual Gala and Charitable Night event.
“We will be very grateful if the Olu of Warri and his beautiful wife, Olori Atuwatse III will accept our humble invitation to be the Royal Father and Mother of the event”, he appealed.
Mr. Eyewuoma who gave a brief history of the group averred “Ugbajo Itsekiri UK is the only Itsekiri Non-Profitable Organization that is Incorporated by the United Kingdom Charity Commission. We are focused on promoting healthcare and education in Itsekiri rural communities.
“One of our core projects is our Eye Cataract project where we give support to our people back home. We are happy doing this project because of the testimonies and encouragement we are receiving from our people.”
Mr. Eyewuoma stated further that their major motivation for inviting the Warri Monarch to their forthcoming event was the king’s passion for promoting education and development in the Warri kingdom, which was evident in his recent visits to some parts of the continent.
Responding, the Olu of Warri, who spoke through one of his Chiefs, Chief Oma Eyewuoma, the Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom, charged members of Ugbajo Itsekiri UK to continue in their charitable works to better the lives of the Itsekiri people, even as he assured them of his presence at the Gala and Charitable Night event.
The epoch ceremony was accompanied by a rich cultural display as well as a lavish refreshment at Chief Eyewuoma’s hall, Esisi Road, Warri.
