Urhobo Orators Installs Ughelli-South Top Politician, Temienor as Patron in Delta

Urhobo Professional Orators from Ughievwen kingdoms, Ughelli South Local government Area of Delta State has installed Prince Temienor Oghenekevwe as its Distinguished Patron.
Temienor Oghenekevwe, who was the SDP candidate for Ughelli South Constituency in the 2023 elections to the Delta State House of Assembly was installed amidst fanfare and celebration that was well attended by prominent dignitaries across Ughievwen Kingdom.
The installation ceremony took place yesterday, Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 in Eyara, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Earlier, the Chairman of the group, Oghenero Okpoghitu, in his opening remarks noted that; "Temienor Oghenekevwe is always there to support the Orators and we have been watching his social and political activities and find him worthy of to be our patron"
The BOT chairman of all Urhobo Orators, Multiple Chief Daniel Tokutu, appreciates Temienor for his contribution and support to the Orators adding that the Orators always ensure that Urhobo culture is well promoted.
He added that Urhobo orators are men and women of honor and dignity whose calling encompasses promotion of cultural heritage of the Urhobo people through solo performances, urging members to see themselves as carriers of Urhobo values and norms as well as vestiges of Urhobo collective history.
Another Orator who spoke at the Occasion, Chief Ezekiel Dokuye noted that the Urhobo Orators uphold the dignity of Urhobo culture and shared experiences through their acts, performance and creative delivery during ceremonies.
According to him, "Some of us here are politicians, teachers, businessmen, professionals, and businessmen, we are making you our patron today due to your contributions to the Urhobo nation. Another feather has been added to your cap, we have just bestowed a hornor on you".
In his acceptance speech, Temienor Oghenekevwe appreciated the love accorded him by the group stressing that it was imperative to consolidate on the love and unity he observed among the Orators.
He said; "Being a patron is not just an ordinary title, I appreciate the leadership role that comes with it, and I will live up to the responsibilities that come with it."
The ceremony was attended by the BOT chairman of all Urhobo Orators, Multiple Chief Daniel Tokutu, Chief Ezekiel Dokuye, HHRC July Egodomoren Ex chairman Oghenekevwe Oretors, Envangalis Emanuel Gogo, Donald Omuvwen, Alex Oghorume, Regina Uchere, Hon. Tonka Omeresa, Jeremiah Luke, Elijah Sagada, Ejovwo Akigho, Joel Boroh, Patrick Emoefe Solomon Omonigh, Emanuel Biloye, Chief Moses Djedje the Awhotu 1 of all Urhobo orators and host of others.
