Urhobo Orators Presents  Certificate to SDP Chieftain, Temienor as Patron in Delta

National Association OF Urhobo Professional Orators (NAUPOJ) from Ughievwen kingdoms, on Tuesday, presented a certificate of Patronship to the Chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Temienor Oghenekevwe.

The certificate, which officially recognized Temienor as the Grand patron of the association, was presented to him by the National Chairman, Chief Oghenero Okpoghitu, alongside executives and prominent members of the social culture group in Eyara, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State. 

Shortly before receiving the award, the recipient, Temienor who was the SDP candidate for Ughelli South Constituency in the 2023 elections to the Delta State House of Assembly disclosed that 
He appreciate the privilege to participate in upholding the dignity of the Urhobo nation; he said,  "As a patron, this certificate is a motivation to do more for the promotion of the Urhobo nation."

The presentation of the certificate was done in a colorful celebration  amidst fanfare that was well attended by prominent dignitaries across the Ughievwen Kingdom who also witnessed the display of the cultural heritage of the Urhobo people in oratory performances,

The Chairman of the group, Oghenero Okpoghitu, in his remarks, noted that; "Temienor Oghenekevwe has distinguished himself, and today we have presented the Patronship certificate to him. This certificate is a symbol of authority that we have bestowed on him. He will no doubt promote the Urhobo culture and also support all who do the same".

The BOT chairman of all Urhobo Orators, Multiple Chief Daniel Tokutu, appreciates Temienor for his contribution and his support to the Orators, adding that Orators always ensure that Urhobo culture is well promoted.

He added that "Temienor will also enjoy the privilege of being a carrier of Urhobo values and norms as well as vestiges of Urhobo collective history".

Temienor Oghenekevwe thanked the group for their overwhelming love accorded him, promising to support them in their quest to take the Urhobo nation to an enviable height. He also presented cash gifts and rice to them as a symbol of his appreciation and support for the Orators.

The ceremony was attended by the BOT chairman of all Urhobo Orators,  Multiple Chief Daniel Tokutu, Chief Ezekiel Dokuye, HHRC July Egodomoren Ex chairman Oghenekevwe Oretors, Envangalis Emanuel Gogo, Donald Omuvwen, Alex Oghorume, Regina Uchere, Hon. Tonka Omeresa, Jeremiah Luke, Elijah Sagada, Ejovwo Akigho, Joel Boroh, Patrick Emoefe  Solomon Omonigh, Emanuel Biloye, Chief Moses Djedje the Awhotu 1 of all Urhobo orators and host of others.
