Breaking News: Tension, Roadblock as Massive Protest Takes Over Emevor In Delta

There is tension, travelers between Isoko-Asaba road are stranded as a massive protest takes over Emevor, Isoko North Local government Area of Delta State.
Residents of Emevor, particularly youths, Women, Elder and children took to the streets and angrily stormed the Isoko-Asaba express road, carrying placards with various inscriptions, demanding the construction of Emevor-Orogun Road.
FocalPoint Reports spoke to some protesters in the early hours of 9:30 AM, Monday, April 25th, gathered that the Emevor Orogun road has been abandoned since the beginning of Governor Okowa's administration.
Emevor Community youth representative, Godwin Adaghara disclosed that over five persons have died in an accident caused by the deplorable nature of Emevor Orogun road.
He also called out their leaders, stating, "The Commissioner representing Isoko ethnic nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr. Paul Oweh, is from Emevor, the PDP leader, Dr. Nelson Ejapkovi, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa, Nelson Edgware and host of other personalities should support the community efforts to ensure that the roads are fixed.
