Delta 2023: I’m Confident of Victory Despite Attacks, Mischiefs in Delta Communities...Omo-Agege

UGHELLI...The All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has expressed optimism of emerging victorious in the Governorship election of March 18 2023 in Delta State.

The deputy senate president spoke with journalists on Saturday after casting his vote at Orogun, Ughelli North LGA of the state.

He said despite the reported attacks by supporters of the opposition in parts of the state, he will win the election.

Omo-Agege also accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of inciting violence and alleged that “some mischief was going on in Gbaramatu and Oporoza communities. 

According to him, 'PDP entered into this contest with a predetermination to ensure attacks are launched on the polling units across the states most especially here in Delta central to destroy the votes,” 

“We have received reports of those attacks in Evwreni, Ugheli South. We’ve received the same from Oteri in Ughelli and some mischief was going on in Gbaramatu and Oporoza, We have been getting security operatives to respond but it appears that they have been overwhelmed.

“The idea is to provoke them so that they fight and there will be cancellations. Just hang in there. Just come out, cast your vote, ignore all of the provocations, I Iave decided to let go and I’m convinced I am going to be declared governor of the state.”

He further explained that his party members would not engage in any for of attack on electorates but will give absolute protection to the materials, electorate  and INEC officials.

He also disclosed that Uvwie is a war zone as the people have been threatened by some persons to electorate to keep clear from polling units to avoid being killed.
