Delta LG Polls: APC presents Flag to Bene Mamamu as Chairmanship candidate for Warri South-West

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday formally presented the party’s flag to Comrade Bene Mamamu, its chairmanship candidate for the Local government election scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 13, 2024, with a charge on him to "ensure a total victory".

The flag presentation was performed at Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South-West LGA by the party's chieftain and leader, Chief Ayirimi Emami, who also led the  campaign flagoff.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Ayiri assured that; "APC would coast to victory in Warri South-West and that the opposition would not be allowed to carry out any act of manipulation".

Mamamu, while receiving the party's flag promised to boost basic education, health care and scholarships in the Local Government Area if elected as the council Chairman.

He said, "APC will take the Council Chairmanship seat and I will be declared winner at the end of the elections. "I am a man of action and I am fully ready. "Once I am elected, scholarships, health care and quality education will be sponsored for all in the LGA. "I appeal for your support and votes to emerge victorious." 

Bene Mamamu however appealed to the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) to conduct a transparent exercise.
He also called on the State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Obovrevwori to "give a level playing field to contestants".

Speaking earlier, Chief Ayiri Emami stated that "APC will participate in the local government elections if the process is free and fair".
He added that "the Party would be observant to notify the world if materials get to the polling units or not".

Ayiri stated, "We are ready for the chairmanship election. We don't believe in handpicking and writing results. The opposition does not have someone with the capacity to match our candidate".
