Gbagi Call on Deltans to defend their common patrimony after Okowa's Inauguration of Premium Trust Bank in Asaba.

By Ezekiel Kagbala

Delta State governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP,  Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi challenged Deltans to ask questions geared towards defending their common reasoning stating that someone in authority should explain why Deltans should be jobless, wallowing in poverty, underdevelopment when there is so much squandering and lavishing in Delta State.

Gbagi whose interest is to liberate Delete State come 2023 was the first to rise to the occasion of defending Deltans against alleged moves to divert the state's resources into a newly commissioned bank allegedly owned by the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Governor Okowa and his friends.

Recall that Governor Okowa, a man who have his pattern of calling God and Holy Spirit when it comes to politics, commissioned a branch of Premium Trust Bank in Asaba, the fourth branch of the bank, few months ago.

All that played out during the commissioning caught the interest of Chief Kenneth Gbagi  who may take over a badly looted and economically damaged state come 2023. the incoming governor reasoned that; "Delta is so rich in resources and internally generated revenue, "We cannot continue to be mere spectators and allow our common patrimony to be looted and misused by 'thieves'.

Recall also that during the commissioing of the Premium Trust Bank, Governor Okowa said; “I am glad to see what I see here today". Perhaps, trying to do some personality marketing for the bank, suggesting to banks and other financial institutions to de-emphasise profit and go for partnership, that was also considered as a passionate statement from someone considered to be a patnerned owner of the bank.

As if he was the Chief marketing officer, he gave his recommendations while commissioning  the Premium Trust Bank in Asaba.

In his usual style of calling God into everything including politics he also said that; "I believe it was Holy Spirit-led".

It now behoove on Deltans to be wise, as some politician are clerverly amassing wealth at the detriment of it's poor citizens.

The politics of poverty is now in Delta State where billions are moved in and out of the system while the poorest and most vulnerable are given 50,000 or 100,000 Naira and tagged as flood victims to cover up for the billions.
