PDP Inaugurates Ward Leaders in Burutu, Doboro Marvelous Emerges Ward 9 Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State has formally inaugurated its ward executives, with Comrade Doboro Marvelous emerging as Chairman of Ogbolubiri Ward 9, in a ceremony held at Kiagbodo Town.

The well-attended event brought together party faithful across the 11 wards of the LGA, underscoring renewed grassroots mobilisation ahead of future political engagements.

Speaking at the inauguration, Burutu PDP Chairman, Pullah Tamarau-emi, who presided over the ceremony, charged the newly inaugurated executives to prioritise unity, loyalty, and effective grassroots leadership. He emphasized that the strength of the party lies in its ward structures and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Also present was the PDP State Secretary, Barr. Alarowei Cleric, alongside other key stakeholders including the Burutu PDP Secretary, Mighty Ibori (LL.B), who commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise and described it as a step toward strengthening internal democracy within the party.

Highlight of the event was the official swearing-in of ward chairmen and executives from all 11 wards in the council area. Among those inaugurated were Ebiaremene John (Ward 1), Sanu Richard (Ward 2), Monday Obah (Ward 3), Comrade Agbaiseriki Simon (Ward 4), Millah Dike Amen (Ward 5), John Preye (Ward 6), Owoeikeyou Ayafou (Ward 7), Ashala Godday (Ward 8), Comrade Doboro Marvelous (Ward 9), Ekisah Jenny (Ward 10), and God’s Power Okpako (Ward 11).

The emergence of Doboro Marvelous as Ward 9 Chairman was met with enthusiasm from supporters, who expressed optimism about his leadership capacity to drive party growth and mobilization at the grassroots.

The successful inauguration across all wards signals a strategic move by the PDP Burutu Chapter to consolidate its structure and strengthen its political base across the local government area.
