IYC Commends Gov. Oborevwori Over Funkekeme’s Appointment in Delta

Governor of Delta State, Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori has been commended for the quality of political appointments he has made so far.

The vice president of Ijaw Youths Council Worldwide, Comrade (Chief) Frank Akiefa who gave the commendation in a statement, described the appointees as persons of high intellect

while appraising the composition of the appointments in a chat with newsmen in Warri, during the weekend of Saturday, July 30th, 2023, specially commended the appointment of the former Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Chief Funkekeme Solomon, as Special Adviser.

He described Funkekeme’s appointment as a wise decision, stressing that the appointment will enhance rapid development in the Ijaw communities in the state. 

Frank Akiefa thanked Governor Oborevwori for the gesture, noting that, Funkekeme would set an unprecedented record of policies that will engender development and youth empowerment in the state.

The IYC leader assured that Funkekeme’s wealth of experience in various capacities in the state will enable him to contribute towards achieving Oborevwori's M.O.R.E agenda of developing the state.
