Newly Elected Council Chairmen sworn in by Governor Obovrevwori in Delta State

Newly elected Council Chairmen were sworn in on Monday, July 15 at Asaba by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

6) Christian Onogba - Ethiope West

9) Godwin Ogorugba - Isoko North
10) Warri Ovoke Friday - Isoko South
11) Vincent Osilonya - Ndokwa East
12) Obi Nzete -Ndokwa - West
13) Isaiah Esiovwa - Okpe
14) Innocent Esewezie - Oshimili North
15) Obi Kelvin Ezenyili - Oshimili South

This came as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reportedly won all 25 local government chairmanship seats in the Delta Local Government election held across the state on Saturday.
The party also clinched 499 of the 500 councillorship seats, losing one to the Allied Peoples Movement in Oshimili North Local Government Area.
Jerry Agbaike, the chairperson of Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), announced the results at the commission’s headquarters in Asaba on Sunday.
The DSIEC chairperson also issued Certificates of Return to the elected local council chairperson to mark the end of the exercise.
