Tubotu To SPDC, Don't Deal With Expired CDC Chairman,Takenane Abaka's Executive
Niger Delta Youth and Bilabiri 1 Community indigene, Lucky Tubotu, has issued a stern warning to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and other companies operating in the area not to deal with Takenane Abaka under any guise as his tenure as CDC Chairman has expired.
Tubotu, in a tense statement issued in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State cautioned the oil giant, SPDC and all other oil exploration or servicing companies to desist from dealing with Tekenane Abaka, as that will amount to recognizing an illegality.
"He emphasized that these companies should not engage in any dealings with Tekenane Abaka, the expired-term CDC Chairman, and his entire executive".
"Takenane Abaka is an imposter who should be arrested. He is no longer the CDC Chairman of Bilabiri 1 Community saying unless he is arrested, peace will not return to the community".
"The killers of Frank B. Seide on April 1, 2021 over CDC chairmanship extension, having assumed power, refused to vacate the office even after the expiration of their tenure. They are currently imposing themselves on the community for an illegal chairmanship extension".
"Tekenane Abaka whose two year single tenure as CDC Chairman had expired since December 15, 2024 has constituted himself as a terror in the community. Anyone opposed to his chairmanship extension will be beaten".
"Some persons have fallen victims,with severe injuries and their phones seized from the owners, hence indigenes of Bilabiri 1 community are now living in fear.
"For the sake of peace to return and avoidance of doubt, the following persons were members of the immediate past CDC executive led by Tekenane Abaka, Chairman, Ebike Adams, Secretary, Douglas Aaron, Youth President, Ebide Seide, Woman Leader, Soja Dede, Highness and Madam Deme who replaced the former Woman Leader ".
"Their tenure had expired since December 15, 2024 but they have kept parading themselves as the CDC executive, while their cohorts are in possession of illegal firearms in the Bilabiri 1 community threatening innocent indigenes particularly Ebimene Abaka, the king- pin(aka Small Fire)".
"Anybody or company dealing with any or all of them does so at his or her risk, while any agreement or deal reached with the illegal executive will be regarded as null and void ".
"Let it be known to the world that Takenane Abaka has been parading himself as an elected CDC Chairman of Bilabiri 1 Community, when his tenure expired on December 15, 2024 noting that his actions are not only criminal, but totally illegal and built on falsehood".
"Bilabiri 1 Community is no longer the same as many persons and families are afraid to speak for fear of being molested due to the incessant threat to lives and property perpetuated by Takenane Abaka, Ebimene Abaka (Small Fire) all in a bid to remain in power and continue to oppress the people for his personal gains ".
"I want to use this opportunity to inform the general public and call on security agencies to fish out and arrest Takenane Abaka,Ebimene Abaka,Ebike Adams,Aaron Douglas , Highness Soja Dede ,Esopi Wilson and Darius Wilson.They are a thr eat to peace and are armed with illegal weapons in the community harassing innocent indigenes".
