Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Gears Up for the 1005th Amafini Ogeh Festival

Ogbe-Ijoh Town, Delta State – Preparations are in top gear as the people of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, under the leadership of the Owubou-in Council, get ready to host the 1005th Amafini Ogeh Festival. This annual cultural extravaganza is a testament to the kingdom’s rich heritage, resilience, and enduring unity.
Scheduled for Saturday, 18th January 2025, at Ogbe-Ijoh Town in Warri South-West LGA, Delta State, the festival will begin at 10:00 AM and promises to be a colorful and memorable event.
The festival will feature a variety of cultural displays and activities, including:
The iconic Traditional Ogele Dance, showcasing the rhythm and grace of the Ijaw people.
Performances by Ewein Dancers and the celebrated Ogbe Ijaw Wabu Ladies.
Showcases by Art and Culture Troupes and an exciting Boat Regatta, a spectacle of skill and tradition on the waterways.
Adding to the excitement, attendees will enjoy music by the renowned Chief Kingsley Takemebo, with a special guest appearance by popular artist Harrisong.
