Police Divisional Head Visits Global Maritime Academy, Inspects Facilities in Delta

In a significant move to strengthen collaboration between law enforcement and educational institutions, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Otu-Jeremi Station in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, CSP Banawi lshaky recently visited the Global Maritime Academy, GMA In Agbowhiame, Ughelli South Local government area, Delta State.

The visit was aimed at inspecting the academy's facilities and establishing partnerships aimed at enhancing safety and security.

Upon arrival, the DPO was warmly welcomed by the academy's administration, including the President and  Proprietor of the institution, Mr Ejiro Dennis Onakughotor, and other key staff members.

The visit commenced with a guided tour of the academy's state-of-the-art training facilities, which include simulation rooms, navigation labs, and fully equipped maritime training kits.

During the tour, the DPO, CSP Banawi lshaky expressed admiration for the academy's commitment to providing high-quality education and training to future maritime professionals. "The Global Maritime Academy plays a crucial role in preparing individuals for careers in the maritime industry, and it is essential that we work together to ensure a safe and secure environment for both students and staff," he stated.

The President and Proprietor who appreciated the visit said; "CSP Benawi is the first DPO to visit the institute after over seven years of operations in the permanent site of the academy. 

"As the maritime industry continues to grow, the partnership between law enforcement and educational institutions like the Global Maritime Academy is expected to play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of maritime operations in the region.

"Global Maritime Academy, GMA, is open for the admission of prospective students.
