President Tinubu Names Abuja Road After Wole Soyinka


According to the special adviser to the president on communication and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on X on Tuesday, the renaming of the road after the Nobel Laureate was suggested by the FCT administration.
Tinubu, in naming the road after Soyinka, who will be 90 on July 13, highlighted his contributions to literature and his role in boosting the country's global cultural standing
The president said the novelist had brought honour and fame to Nigeria through his unparalleled contributions to literature and his unwavering commitment to human rights and social justice.
Tinubu added that the move is a befitting tribute to a man who has dedicated his life to the pursuit of truth, freedom, and artistic excellence.
