South-South Door2Door Movement Holds Maiden Meeting, Strategizes for Tinubu’s 2027 Reelection

In a strategic meeting to consolidate grassroots mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027, the South-South Door2Door Movement (SSD2DM) held its maiden meeting in Warri, Delta State.

The meeting, which attracted state executives, local government coordinators, women and youth leaders, and other key members from across the Niger Delta states of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, and Rivers, was hosted at the residence of the group’s Grand Patron, High Chief Wellington Bobo on Friday 31st, 2025.

Leading the delegation, the National Chairman of SSD2DM, Hon. Clever Agbe, charged members to take the message of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) directly to the grassroots. He emphasized that the movement would focus on building a formidable structure that will sustain political awareness and voters mobilization across the South-South region.

As part of its resolutions, the movement appointed a constitution drafting committee to establish a working document that will guide its operations. The committee members include:

Hon. Clever Agbe – Chairman

Comrade Dennis Osanebi – Secretary

Comrade Mesahrun Ejiro Stella – Treasurer

Mr. Godhelpme Wisdom – Assistant Secretary

John Cyril – Member

David Osie – Member

High Chief Wellington Bobo – Adviser

In a statement personally signed by Hon. Agbe, the chairman reiterated the group’s commitment to advancing President Tinubu’s vision of continuity, stability, and national renewal.

“As a movement, we have resolved to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress. This decision is not by chance but by conviction, because we believe in partnership, we believe in progress, and we believe our region must not stand aside but stand within the circle of influence and governance,” Agbe stated.

He further added that SSD2DM would not remain on the sidelines of national development but would take an active role in shaping the region’s political relevance and contribution to national unity.

“In the past months, we have been reaching out to great sons of the South-South who share our passion for peace, security, and empowerment,” he said. “We have engaged the likes of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), a pillar of strength and stability in our region; Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services; and High Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. Letters have been sent to them, and we await their responses with confidence that these collaborations will strengthen our cause.”

Agbe also acknowledged the public endorsement of His Royal Highness (Dr) Selky Kile Torughedi (a.k.a General Young Shall Grow) who also is the Eyewei the 5th of Azuzzuama, Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa, describing it as a major boost to the movement’s credibility and regional recognition.

“These endorsements are proof that our movement is not only growing—it is gaining recognition, respect, and credibility across the Niger Delta and beyond,” he affirmed.

The South-South Door2Door Movement (SSD2DM) aims to drive direct community engagement, mobilization, and political education ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a focus on reinforcing the South-South’s participation in national governance under the Renewed Hope administration.
