The Need for President Tinubu to Support 2nd Phase of Tantita Operations to End oil Theft In Nigeria

By Ezekiel Kagbala

The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has  continued to give Nigerians hope for a better future as a result of key executive orders and bold steps he has made in.

However, it is imperative for him to as a matter of urgency support the phase two of the Tantita Security Operations for the continued security of the pipeline and crude oil in the Niger Delta which has yielded positive result and has helped the riverine people of the region to gradually have.a sense of belonging in a nation where the source of revenue still remains crude oil.

Phase one of the Tantita security operation has been applauded by Nigerians because of the success recorded and how it has placed oil bunkers on the run which has led to the discovery of some loopholes through which crude oil were being illegally channeled among others.

Phase two of the Tantita Security Services Limited is technology based and requires President  Tinubu's urgent support for the operation to put an end to oil theft especially in the Niger Delta region.

The Phase two is also to prevent people from attacking the oil facilities and gain more success in ensuring that those involved in diverting crude oil through illegal pipelines are exposed.

The Head of Operations, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Captain Warredi Enisuoh also joined in the appeal some months ago.

The security company in the course of the discharge of it's mandate extended its operation tohelping farmers and fishermen return to their age-long professions and to an extent drastically curbed  illegal oil bunkering and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta region.

FocalPoint observed that Nigeria experienced increased crude oil and gas production as a result of the security agreement which the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd entered with Tantita Security Services to secure the country's critical economic assets.

Before the award of the contract to Tantita security, Over 700,000 barrels of Nigerian oil were reportedly stolen daily.

This indeed was devastating to the country because it earned 90 percent of its foreign exchange on exports of crude oil and sales.

Tantita Security Services Limited, the Most Outstanding Oil & Gas Security Company in Nigeria also extended the gains of its achievements to benefit the people of Niger Delta, thus creating cleaner coastal communities and restoring the aged long profession of the region after reducing the destructive venture of illegal oil bunkering and pipeline vandalism to its barest minimum.

Niger Deltans most treasured Occupation of farming and fishing is undergoing restoration

Recall that on the 12th May 2023, Tantita Security intercepted trucks used for stealing crude oil while securing Assets belonging to the NNPCL located in Warri, Delta State.

The stolen crude oil was allegedly planned to be stored in a barge and then transferred to illegal refineries for processing into petrol and diesel.

Severally, Tantita intercepted trucks of stolen crude oil and went further with the shocking discoveries of a depot used for stealing crude oil in Nigeria.

Gradually, the business of reducing the country's economic growth by this illegal bunkers is no longer lucrative after all, as a result of the oil boom since the country retained its place as one of the oil-rich country.

Suffice to say that the local cooking of crude oil into adulterated contents was too destructive to the environment and ruinous to man, the environment plants, and animals, it is pertinent to state that the money made from illegal crude oil refining cannot make up or pay for the fish displaced and lost from the waters.

Degraded farmland cannot be remediated so easily, the black oil business was inimical to the rich farming and fishing occupation of the Niger Delta people.

The first phase of reactivation which is identifying and cleanup has been achieved, it's time for President Bola Tinubu's administration to further build on Tantita security's achievements by further empowering the company to put a complete end  to crude oil theft and ensure the economic well-being of the Niger Deltans.

The security company is hoping  for a continued partnership with security agencies and the support of the Federal government to actualize its mandate.

High Chief Ekpemupolo, (Tompolo) has been  highly commended for proper protection of the oil pipelines and effective service delivery while Chief  Pondi is also commended for ensuring economic empowerment for Youth who jettisoned illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta.

The activities of pipeline vandals have no doubt reduced since the introduction of the surveillance contracts but how far the project is sustained could be the deciding factor in ending oil theft, illegal bunkering, and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta.
