Tinubu’s Three Years Marked by Bold Reforms, Economic Recovery — Otuaro
The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the third anniversary of his administration, describing the president’s leadership as courageous, transformative and result-driven.
Dr. Otuaro stated that the Tinubu administration has recorded remarkable achievements over the past three years through decisive governance, strategic economic reforms and a strong commitment to national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, President Tinubu assumed office fully prepared to confront Nigeria’s socio-economic and security challenges, noting that his administration has steadily placed the country on the path of economic recovery, political stability and shared prosperity.
He commended the president for implementing bold economic policies that have stabilized key sectors of the economy while simultaneously strengthening the nation’s security architecture to safeguard lives, critical infrastructure and national assets.
Dr. Otuaro also praised President Tinubu’s diplomatic engagements and international partnerships, saying they have restored global confidence in Nigeria and attracted increased foreign direct investments into the country.
“President Tinubu has restored the confidence of the international community in Nigeria, and the country is accorded respect among the comity of nations,” he stated.
Speaking on developments in the Niger Delta, the PAP Administrator said the collaborative efforts between security agencies and private security firms engaged by the Federal Government have significantly curbed pipeline vandalism and crude oil theft in the region.
He noted that the improved security environment has contributed to the increase in Nigeria’s crude oil production output from about 1.4 million barrels per day in 2023 to approximately 1.8 million barrels per day recently.
Dr. Otuaro further applauded President Tinubu for his commitment to peace, stability and sustainable development in the Niger Delta, stressing that the administration has changed the narrative of unrest previously associated with the region.
He disclosed that the president’s support for reforms within the Presidential Amnesty Programme, including the approval of upward budgetary reviews, has expanded educational scholarships, vocational training opportunities and empowerment initiatives for beneficiaries.
“His unprecedented support has also helped us deepen our policy of inclusivity, foster fruitful stakeholders’ engagements, and strengthen peacebuilding processes for sustainable peace and development in the region,” Otuaro said.
The PAP boss highlighted major infrastructure and development projects initiated by the Tinubu administration in the South-South region, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Project, the establishment of the South South Development Commission, the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland, and continued support for the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko.
According to him, these projects are driving socio-economic growth and opening new opportunities for the people of the Niger Delta.
Dr. Otuaro also described President Tinubu’s overwhelming victory at the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries as a clear demonstration of the confidence party members and grassroots supporters have in his leadership.
He expressed optimism that Nigerians would renew the president’s mandate in the 2027 general elections, enabling him to consolidate on the gains of his administration.
The PAP Administrator urged Niger Delta stakeholders and residents to continue supporting President Tinubu and reciprocate what he described as the president’s commitm
ent and love for the region.
