Mamamu Disagrees with Warri Delineation, Pushes for INEC Review of Ogbe-Ijoh Ward Allocations

A prominent political leader from Ogbe-ljoh, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to reassess its fieldwork and increase the number of wards allocated to Ogbe-ljoh before  finalizing the delineation of electoral wards and polling units in the Warri Federal Constituency, as ordered by the supreme Court on fresh delineation of electoral Wards and pooling units.

In a statement he personally signed copies of which were made available to newsmen in Warri, Mamamu berated those calling on INEC not to revisit it's fieldwork and correct obvious misrepresentation of Ogbe-ljoh Wards, adding that the whole process does not reflect compliance with the supreme Court order to INEC on for fresh delineation.

Mamamu said, "Ogbe-ljoh was not represented at the press conference that was held in Warri where INEC was told to complete the fieldwork on deleanition, clarifying that individuals who claimed to speak on behalf of the Ogbe-ljoh community did so solely in their personal interest, statements made during the event do not reflect the views or positions of the Ogbe-ljoh people.

"INEC cannot be commended by some self-serving individuals who claim to be protecting the Ogbe-Ijoh people of Warri-South-West Local Government Area, I speak on behalf of Ogbe-ljoh people to demand transparency and accountability of our Wards.

"Betrayers, cash and Carry Politician' should stop trading the political future of Ogbe-ljoh people, the shortchange and marginalizing politically to the extent of allocating our wards to others is suspicious and suggestive of compromise by some who are telling INEC not to do the right thing.

"I think something is wrong for  Ogbe-ljoh persons to commend and call on INEC to complete delineation of electoral wards and polling units in the Warri Federal Constituency and release its final decision without addressing the main issue, Mamamu stated.
