Yuletide: SDP Chieftain Doles Out Rice, Cash Gifts to Party Faithful in Ughelli-South, Delta

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Ughelli South Constituency of the Delta State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections, Prince Temienor Oghenekevwe, has distributed rice and cash gifts to SDP Party faithful to enable them to celebrate this year’s Christmas with ease. 

Presenting the items on Saturday, December 14, 2024, to party members, Temienor Oghenekevwe noted, "We must support ourselves and brace up ahead for the 2027 election as one United family. We will occupy our rightful position in the State, and the preparation should start early".

Temienor is a vibrant and proactive grassroots politician who is recognized for his generosity and philanthropy to the underprivileged in the entire Ughelli South Local government area, where he is popularly referred to as 'Ovie-Ame.'

Temienor commended his party Ward leaders for paying him a solidarity visit, stating that the primary aim of the Christmas gifts is to ease the hardships faced by those struggling to afford basic needs and that his party faithful are his primary Constituency.

He said: “It is my little way of supporting the party in my Local government area. It is the festive period, and this is just a way to give back to our party.

Some of the party members present include the Chairman of Jeremi Ward 4, Mr. Unity Biji, Olomu ward,  Mr. Everen Onoroiode, and the chairman of all Chairmen, Mr. Felix Wonloghor,
