Delta based Activist, Victor Ojei popularly known as Wong Box has taken Governor Okowa led administration to the cleaners
In a statement, he said that, the State government have a duty to answer for expenditures of the robust allocations, internally generated revenue IGR, grants and reimbursable funds the State has received thus far.
Ojei in a statement made available to FocalPoint Reports, decried the obvious lack of improvement in the living standard of Deltans despite monies being accrued to the State.
In his statements he said; "Other States in Nigeria makes noble efforts to raise the livelihood of their citizens, Ojei stressed that the state empowerment program (STEP) and the Youth Agricultural and Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP) acts as a conduit pipe that lacks accountability. He noted that the system is porus, lacks biometrics database to checkmate duplication of applications".
He also made a strong point in stating that,
"some people are shortchanging the Government funds and invariably feeding fat due to hypocrisy of Delta State Government politicians roles since 2015 till date."
He then lambasted the State government officials stating that they are "shameless, because the few ventures in the State are being given out to non-Deltans for fleecing reasons which if checked, has fruadulent motives e.g Ogbeogonogo Asaba Main Market, Delta Line, Asaba International Airport, etc.
Lamenting the situation, he described it as "a misfortune of unprecedented proportion".
He asserted that there are questions everywhere that needs to be answered by those in power in this Governor Okowa's regime."
