Akiefa Fires Back at Olowu Over “False, Misleading” Claims on Pondi

By Ezekiel Kagbala

Prominent Ijaw youth leader, Comrade (Chief) Frank Akiefa, has launched a strong rebuttal against what he described as “reckless, misleading, and factually bankrupt claims” made by Mathias Efe Olowu against the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL), High Chief Engr. Kestin Pondi. Which her erroneously referred to as 'Keston',

Akiefa said Olowu’s statements represent a “deliberate distortion of facts” and expose a troubling lack of understanding of the realities that plagued Nigeria’s oil sector before Tantita’s intervention.

Akiefa in a statement he personally signed on thursday in Warri, copies of which were made available to Newsmen said, "Tantita security was brought in at a time when the sector was on the brink of failure due to widespread crude oil theft, illegal refining, and systemic sabotage of national assets.

"Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), stepped in when the system was failing and has since played a critical role in restoring order and improving security across key oil-producing corridors.”

Akiefa dismissed claims that the company has underperformed as “baseless propaganda,” insisting that measurable improvements in pipeline security and operational stability since 2022 cannot be ignored.

“Those who choose to speak on matters of national importance must do so with facts, not fiction. Nigeria’s economic stability is too important to be dragged into cheap narratives.”

Akiefa warned against politicising critical national economic issues, noting that such actions undermine progress and mislead the public.

He urged the public to disregard what he called “attention-seeking and misleading commentary” and instead focus on verifiable progress made in securing the nation’s oil assets.
