Ugbanabou Federated Community has categorically denied being under Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom. This declaration comes in response to recent claims suggesting that Ugbanabou is part of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, a notion that the community leaders vehemently reject.

In the statement signed by the Chairman, Mr. Alex Ebi Fenimine on Wednesday, June 4th, copies of which were made available to newsmen in Warri, Delta State. The chairman emphasized that, "Ugbanabou is under Diebiri Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area. We are not under Ogbe-Ijoh nor any other Kingdom but Diebiri. The claim that we are under Ogbe-ljoh is misleading and an affront to our identity and autonomy," he stated.

The community's leaders expressed concern over the potential implications of such misrepresentations, particularly regarding land rights, governance, and community representation. They urged government agencies, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and local government authorities, to recognize them as people under Diebiri Kingdom.

"We call on all relevant stakeholders to acknowledge our rightful place within the Diebiri Kingdom and to refrain from any actions that may undermine our community's integrity," Mr. Fenimine added. "We are committed to fostering peace and unity within our region, but we will not stand idly by while our identity is misrepresented."

The statement has garnered support from various community members, who echoed the sentiments of their leaders. Many expressed pride in their heritage and a desire to maintain their distinct cultural identity.
