Liberate Delta: How Gbagi Campaign Train Stormed Ijaw Community, Promises To Establish Seaport in Bomadi

The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Delta state, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, OON, has promised to develop a Seaport in Bomadi Local Government Area to attract development and create jobs for the teeming youths if elected as Governor in 2023.

Gbagi made the promise on Thursday, December, 15th 2022 when his Governorship campaign train stormed the headquarters of Bomadi LGA where thousands of supporters and party faithful trooped out in their numbers to welcome him.

He was accompanied by members of his campaign train including Vice Chairman of SDP, Barr. Elder Fred Owotorofa, the Deputy governorship candidate of the party Chief Mrs. Oshilim Ishioma Rosemary, the State chairman of the party, Ambassador Oke Idawene JP, the Vice Chairman of SDP in Delta Central, Comrade Mike Dugbo, the Director General, Gbagi Campaign Council, Prof. Jeff Mokobia, the Deputy Director General and host of others.

Upon arriving in Bomadi town, the leading Governorship candidate proceeded on a meeting with the Catholic Bishop of Bomadi Diocese, Most Rev. Hyacinth Oroko Egbebo MSP, who disclosed that Ijaws are mostly in oil-producing states yet there is no Water, and no electricity for them.

Gbagi commended him and promised to establish a Seaport in Bomadi to facilitate the exportation of crude oil and attract huge development to the area just as Lagos is booming.

The renowned industrialist, entrepreneur, and criminologist at the campaign ground in Olou Primary School field promised the people of Bomadi that he would ensure that students in primary and secondary schools across the state enjoy free education.

He revealed that when he was in Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, he establish 13 universities, 14 polytechnics, and 16 colleges of education, to him education and job creation is the basic thing that should be provided for all.

According to Him, "One of such universities I created is the Federal University, Otuoke in Bayelsa state, the country home of Goodluck Jonathan. Another is Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun Delta state."

He further assured that the construction of the Ayakoromo bridge by his government would be completed in the first year of his administration.
