Ogulagha Monarch Commends Adewale, Gbagi For Keeping Promises on Mother's Funeral

The paramount ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom, HRM. Capt. Joseph Timiyan, Agbonu Torububor 1, on Saturday, November 5th, 2022, appreciates the Social Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, and the Delta State Governorship candidate, Olorogun Barr Kenneth Gbagi, FNIM OON, who joined Ijaws in Delta State and across the world to pay last respect to Chief Mrs. (Mama) Princess Amoguye Tamiyan.
Adewale and Gbagi who paid a condolence visit to the family of the monarch at the Palace, in Obotobi 1, Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area, extolled the virtues of Late Princess Amoguye Timiyan and her contributions to society, stressing further that the revered mother of the king lived a fulfilled life.
The Presidential and Governorship candidates were accompanied by Sen. Ugochukwu Uba, Delta State SDP deputy governorship Candidate, Chief Mrs. Oshilim Rosemary, National Vice Chairman of SDP, South-South, Elder (Barr) Fred Owhotorofa, members of Delta State SDP Campaign council, Party Stakeholders, Candidates and host of others.
They were well received by the Chairman Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Delta, Edo & Ondo State Western zone. Comrade Doubra Collins Okotete, National coordinator, Center for peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Chief Sheriff Mulade, Elder Famous Benafa, Publisher/CEO, GbaramatuVoice, Newspaper, Mr. Abai Jacob and host of others.
Adewale in his words maintained that the visit was not for Campaign but to commiserate and spend time with him as mama has just been laid to rest.
Earlier, Delta State Governorship candidate of SDP, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, while briefing the monarch on the purpose of their visit said; "Our coming today is a follow-up on the condolence since the day mama passed away, this visit is ceremonial to mark our respect for mama".
The monarch thanked the presidential candidate, Adebayo, an international lawyer, and owner of KAFTAN TV, for keeping his word when he promised to visit during the burial, adding that Adewale has distinguished himself from other politicians who often promise and fail.
In response the monarch Said; "I want to formally welcome you all to Ogulagha Kingdom, keeping your promise was a good thing, this is the first time a presidential candidate is visiting my kingdom, though it has become normal for Politicians to make promises and fail to keep up with them.
"I didn't take it to heart when you promised to grace the burial ceremony, and a call came that you could not make it that very day, I didn't feel bad. I was rather, surprise to see that you made it today, you have kept your promises and it is good, keep it up" the monarch Said.
