PDP Condemns Attack on UDU Ward-9 Leaders in Delta, Suspends Anti-Party Members

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Leaders and its executives in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State Chapter have condemned the unwarranted heinous incessant attack on its Orhuwhorun leaders in Udu Ward 9.
The condemnation was contained in a statement signed by PDP Ward 9 Chairman, Efete R. Okolosi, and his secretary, Harvest Waka at Orhuwhorun community and copies were made available to newsmen after an emergency meeting of the ward on the 30th of March 2023.
According to them; "The PDP Ward 9 discovered that the following persons namely; Chief Pius Tuphe - Leader, Chief Moses Obokor - Leader, Chief James Toka - Board Member, Paris Ughujowhovwo - Ex-Officio, Engr. Lucky Apoe - Vice Chairman, Chief Johnbull Phophen - Ambassador, Barr. Gibson Fefe - Special Assistant (S.A) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Ator Okolosi - Special Assistant (S.A) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and Lucky Isiorho - Special Assistant (S.A) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
"All were involved in Anti-Party activities wherein they openly supported and worked for Chief Ovie Omo-Agege (the Deputy Senate President) while at the same time disseminating false and malicious allegations against some executives, leaders, and members of the PDP ward 9 and thereby causing serious disaffection among members of the PDP.
"The PDP Ward 9 passed a vote of no confidence on the aforementioned persons i.e. were suspended in line with Section 58 (If) of the PDP Constitution, the suspension of the above-named persons is hereby approved and refers their conduct to the PDP Disciplinary Committee for further investigation and recommendation", it added.
The party further condemned the unwarranted attack on the member representing Udu Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor by hoodlums and thugs at Legislative quarters, Asaba.
The PDP in Udu Ward-9 leaders However, called on leaders of the party in the State, the State House of Assembly, Security Agencies, and All Concern to investigate and take appropriate action against attackers of the foremost PDP leader in Udu and Orhuwhorun.
They also condemned in strong terms, the illegal suspension of the Councilor representing DSIEC Ward 15, Hon. Oscar Okoro, and the Councilor representing DSIEC Ward 16, Hon. Queen Riendure for no just course and used the medium to call on the leadership of Udu Legislative Arm to without further delay to reverse its decision on the suspension of two Councilors from Orhuwhorun community.
The Party urged those paddling lies against the ward leaders for political patronage to desist from their evil ways while members, executives, and leaders of the PDP ward 9 who attended the meeting passed a vote of confidence on Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor, Prince Sam Ughujowhovwo, Hon. Saturday Mofoye, Hon. Ejiro Kayan, Comr. Ejovwo Oyibo Yarhere and others for their leadership role in the party.
While a vote of no confidence was passed on some members of the PDP in the ward for Anti-Party Activities during the just concluded election.

Were suspended.
Disciplinary Committee was constituted by Ward 9 Chairman for further investigation and recommendation. They are; Hon. Ejiro Kayan - Chairman, Barr. A. T. Okrakpor - Secretary, Okakuro Ohwofete Mukoro - Member, Emmanuel Isiorho - Member, Chief Eguriase Okoraro - Member, Mrs. Harriet Aruoture - Member, Hon. Clement R. Oshue (JP) - Member, Frank Efevwera - Member, Vincent Omoko - Member.
In a related development, members, leaders, and executives of Udu PDP Ward 9 expressed unalloyed support for the PDP and congratulated the Governor-Elect, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Sheriff Oborevwori for his well-deserved victory in the just concluded Governorship election. The Ward also thanked Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his fatherly role during and after the election.
